When you’re spending time in the Arctic, the right base layer is everything. This long-sleeved North Outdoor shirt is designed with demanding northern conditions in mind. It’s made from a unique double-knit fabric: breathable mulesing-free merino wool on the outside, and an ultra-soft bamboo viscose layer on the inside.
That means you get the best of both worlds – merino keeps your body temperature balanced and wicks away moisture, while the bamboo layer feels gentle against even the most sensitive skin. Naturally antibacterial and odor-resistant, it’s a piece you can wear comfortably day after day.
Lightweight yet insulating, it’s a must-have for anyone who wants to stay warm, dry, and comfortable while exploring the Arctic.

The softness of merino wool comes down to its fiber diameter, measured in microns. The lower the micron count, the softer the feel. Unlike most merino wool brands, North Outdoor uses only the finest merino fibers, creating pieces with exceptional comfort and long-lasting luxury.
Merino Care
Air out your merino regularly and wash only when needed using a gentle wool detergent at 30 °C. Turn inside out, avoid tumble drying, and reshape to dry flat. If necessary, steam or iron on low heat (max 110 °C) to keep it looking its best.
