1. Introduction
By using Lumia Wear’s (Lumiamind Oy) winter clothing rental service, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all rental bookings and related services offered by Lumia Wear in Rovaniemi, Finland.

2. Rental Process
Eligibility:
The person placing the booking must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate and truthful information when making the reservation.
Collection & Return:
Items must be collected at the reserved date and returned before the agreed rental period ends.
Rental period is 1 day. Clothes can be picked up from 9:30am and must be returned in the evening of the last rental day, or at the latest by 9:30am the following morning.
Rental Sets Only:
We rent full winter clothing sets, which include:
- Winter jacket
- Snow trousers
- Insulated winter boots
- Mittens
- Lightweight tube scarf (included in the set and can be kept as a souvenir)
Please note: Hats, thin liner gloves, merino wool tube scarves, base layer sets and fleece mid-layers are sold separately.
Confirmation
A reservation is considered confirmed when you receive a written confirmation email from Lumia Wear after completing your payment.
Payment options are available in the online store or on-site.
3. Delivery & Pickup
Delivery and pickup are available within a 20 km radius of Rovaniemi. Longer distances can be arranged separately upon request.
You may also collect or return your gear from our shop during opening hours (9:30–16:00).
A flat €49 fee applies per booking, regardless of whether you choose one-way or round-trip delivery, and regardless of the group size.
4. Rental Terms
Rental Period:
Rentals are based on 24-hour periods. Late returns are subject to a €35/day fee per set. We will invoice you after 7 days if the clothes are not returned. Items are either picked up from Lumia Wear’s Rovaniemi store or delivered to your accommodation (please order delivery & pickup service).
Rental starts at the selected time on your chosen start date and ends at the same time on your chosen end date, in 24-hour periods.
If items are left at your accommodation and require pickup, a €49 service fee is added, plus any applicable late fees.
Damages and Liability
The renter is responsible for handling the rented equipment with care and returning it in the same condition as received. If the equipment is returned damaged, significantly soiled, or missing, Lumia Wear reserves the right to charge compensation based on the actual repair or replacement costs.
Compensation will be collected primarily by:
- Issuing a new payment request, which the customer approves, for example via a payment link sent by email; or
- Issuing an invoice, if the customer does not complete the payment via the online store.
By accepting these terms, the renter agrees to pay any compensation costs in accordance with these conditions.
Condition of Clothing:
Items must be returned in the same condition as received. Additional fees apply for damage or excessive dirt:
- Repair: €50 per item
- Washing: €20 per set
- Replacement: Jacket €140, Trousers €90, Boots €80, Mittens €30, Bag €5
Cleaning:
Do not wash the gear yourself – all cleaning is handled by us.
Lost / Stolen Items:
Full replacement costs will be charged for lost or stolen items.
Purchased Items
Purchased items are either picked up from Lumia Wear’s Rovaniemi store or delivered to your accommodation – just like rental gear. You’ll receive everything together in one convenient package.
You have the right to return purchased items within 14 days of receiving them and get full refund. Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging. You must return the item to Lumia Wear store or leave at your accommodation with your rental gear IF you have paid for delvery & pick up.
5. Purchased Items
Purchased items are either picked up from Lumia Wear’s Rovaniemi store or delivered to your accommodation – just like rental gear. You’ll receive everything together in one convenient package.
You have the right to return purchased items within 14 days of receiving them. Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging. Return costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.

Payment Methods:
We accept major credit and debit cards as indicated during the booking process.
Payment Service Provider
Paytrail Oyj serves as the payment intermediary and service provider in collaboration with Finnish banks and credit institutions and is an authorized payment Institution. Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement and forward the payment to the merchant. For complaints, please contact the website the payment was made to.

7. Cancellations & Refunds
Refunds:
A full refund is provided if we fail to deliver the service or if there are major issues with the quality of the gear. Refunds are made to your credit card / payment method.
Changes & Cancellations:
You may cancel or modify your booking up to 48 hours before your scheduled pickup or delivery. Cancellations later than that are non-refundable. Please contact info@lumiawear.fi. Refunds for returned purchases will be issued using the same payment method used in the original transaction.
8. Liability & Disclaimers
We are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses that may occur during the use of the rented equipment.
We make no guarantees about the suitability of the gear for specific weather conditions or activities.
